A total of 239 scientists from 32 countries are saying that evidence supports that the novel coronavirus is airborne and are urging the World Health Organisation to revise its recommendations, a report by New York Times stated.
.
The scientists claim that the coronavirus is airborne and can be carried both by large droplets that zoom through the air after a sneeze, or by much smaller exhaled droplets that may glide the length of a room.
.
At present, WHO's guidelines maintain that the virus spreads primarily from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth, which are expelled when a person with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes or speaks.
