While busting the night IPL cricket betting racket, 4 accused were arrested from the spot.

The arrested accused have been identified as Rohit Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Vijay Kaloni Fazilka, Govind Ahuja, son of Shiv Dayal, resident of Dogra Mohalla Hisar Hall, Tenant City Enclave, Zirakpur Mohali, Dineshwar son of Amir Chand, resident of Tohana Fatehabad and Rohit Bhatia, son of Satish Kumar, resident of Gagandeep Colony, Jodewala Ludhiana. as Punjab.

According to the information, Crime Branch Sector 26 received secret information that the main accused of cricket betting, Naresh Kumar alias Nanak resident of Sector 12-A, Panchkula, who along with his above-mentioned associates do cricket betting by taking a rented house in Sector 07 Panchkula, on which information Crime Branch team raided the spot and managed to arrest 4 accused and recovered items used in betting from the accused in which Rs 22 thousand cash, 3 laptops, 2 LED screens, 3 internet dongles, 2 micro phones, 1 computer mouse, 5 mobile chargers, a total of 24 mobile phones, 2 suitcases (of which 16 mobiles were connected) and note book (about T20 IPL cricket match) and calculator were recovered. The accused were arrested by registering a case against the accused under the Gambling Act at the police station Sector 07.

Police Commissioner Dr. Hanif Qureshi told that strict legal action will continue against the persons involved in this type of illegal work in Panchkula or Tri City.
