Finally Four Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case convicts hanged in Delhi's Tihar Jail.




NEW DELHI: The four men sentenced for the assault and murder of a Delhi lady on December 16, 2012 were hanged in the haziness of pre-day break on Friday, finishing an awful part in India's long history of rape that had singed the country's spirit.


Mukesh Singh (32), Pawan Gupta (25), Vinay Sharma (26) and Akshay Kumar Singh (31) were executed at 5.30am for the savage attack in a void moving transport on the 23-year-old physiotherapy understudy who came to be referred to the world over as Nirbhaya, the intrepid one

This is the first occasion when that four men have been hanged together in Tihar Jail, South Asia's biggest jail complex that houses in excess of 16,000 prisoners.
